Amman, Jerash and Petra Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Land in Amman and check in. Relax after your journey and take time to book taxis or local tours for upcoming days if not prearranged. Depending on your arrival time, visit Jafra Café for a taste of local cuisine and stroll Rainbow Street. Optional visits include the Royal Automobile Museum or Jordan Museum for a cultural introduction.
Day 2
Start your day at Qasr Al-Abed, then head to the Citadel to explore ancient ruins and museums. Visit the Roman Theater and Nymphaeum nearby. Walk through the old souks or have lunch on Rainbow Street. Discover Amman's dynamic blend of ancient and modern before enjoying a quiet dinner at Pizza Roma or Rakwet Arab.
Day 3
Take a guided day trip to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. Walk through Hadrian’s Arch, temples, and oval forums. Then continue to Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Islamic fortress with panoramic countryside views. Return to Amman in the evening and rest or explore more local dining.
Day 4
Prepare for a full-day adventure at Wadi Mujib. Hike through water-filled canyons, climb waterfalls, and enjoy nature at its wildest. This slot canyon near the Dead Sea is perfect for thrill-seekers. Wear proper shoes and bring a dry bag! Return to Amman for dinner.
Day 5
Drive to Madaba to see the famous mosaic map in St. George’s Church. Then continue to the Dead Sea. Float in its salty waters and enjoy a mineral mud bath. Many hotels offer day passes for pools and private beach access. Return to Amman or stay overnight in a Dead Sea resort.
Day 6
Leave Amman and travel to Petra. En route, you may stop at Mount Nebo or Dana Nature Reserve. Reach Wadi Musa (Petra town), check in, and explore the local market or visit Petra by Night (if available). Rest up for the big day tomorrow.
Day 7

Day 8
Begin the day with a sunrise camel safari across Wadi Rum’s dunes. Capture early morning views of the desert. After breakfast, drive back to Amman. Depending on your flight, enjoy last-minute shopping or dining before heading to the airport.
